Terms of sale and licence

Last updated October 2, 2026. These terms are between you and MI-ES ("we"), the maker of PDF Virtuo.

1. Your licence

When you buy PDF Virtuo, we give you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence. It covers the current version and all future updates we release, at no extra cost. There are two kinds:

  • Personal licence: for one named person, who may install and use PDF Virtuo on any computers they own or control, for personal or work purposes, including as a freelancer or self-employed professional.
  • Business licence: for one company or organization, whose employees and contractors may install and use PDF Virtuo on any computers the organization owns or controls. The licence is issued in the organization's name.

If PDF Virtuo is used by more than one person in a company or organization, that organization needs a Business licence. PDF Virtuo does not count users or check this; we rely on you to choose honestly.

2. What you can't do

  • Share, sell, publish, or give away your licence key outside what your licence covers (yourself for Personal; your organization for Business).
  • Copy and redistribute the software, or offer it as a service to others.
  • Remove or work around the licence check, or reverse engineer the software, except where the law allows it.

3. Price and payment

Prices are shown on our pricing page in US dollars. Each licence is a single payment; there is no subscription. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see your full card number.

4. Delivery

Your licence key is sent by email right after payment and is shown in your account on this website. The software is downloaded from this website.

5. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 30 days of purchase. See our refund policy. A refunded licence key is no longer valid.

6. Updates and support

We intend to keep improving PDF Virtuo and to release updates for free. We provide support through support requests at pdfvirtuo.com/support.

7. Warranty

PDF Virtuo is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or suit every purpose. Keep backups of important documents. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to PDF Virtuo is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost data or profits.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec, Canada, without limiting consumer rights you have where you live.
